Jaffa and Home!

Today we went to Jaffa. It is a town right next to Tel Aviv but it is an Arab village. We went to lunch at Old Man and the Sea. Then we went and toured some old stores. Then after that we went to the bazaar where I bought a hat. We went back to have some pomegranate juice and then we went back to Tel Aviv. I got to see our friend’s bomb shelter, alsso known as a protective space. We waited and played soccer until we had salmon for dinner. Then we went to the airport. It was eleven o’clock at night by the time our airplane boarded. We didn’t get in to Newark until 4 a.m. it was five hours if you looked at the clocks but it was a 12 hour flight. We waited until 6 a.m. and saw an amazing sunrise over New York City. We could see World Trade Center One. It was very cool! Then we were on a plane and rested and watched movies until we got back to Colorado. We’re home finally. It was a fantastic trip and thank you to Jonna and Damon.

  • Dear Rhys,
I have really enjoyed reading your blog. You are an amazing write for a 10 year old. You could easily become a travel writer and continue traveling the world while making a fortune writing about it. As your third career, of course, after lacrosse and marine biology. Great job and I can't wait to read about your next adventure.

    Love,
    Gram Walker
